| Thai Folk Drums |
| Though the Taphon is the most common Thai folk drum that you can see in temples and concerts, there are a few other drums that you may also stumble upon. The Klong Chana is an old war drum that is now used to accompany kick-boxing matches and is usually played by two drummers syncopating off of each other's rhythms. The Ramana Lamtat is a frame drum approximately two feet in diameter with a heavy frame. The Klong Yao is a long slender djembe-style drum. Home |
