The Rhythmuseum has moved to San Francisco's Noe Valley The collection has expanded in the past year to include new bronze drums, timpani, sabar, buk, taiko, tama and more! My first video tour of the collection is posted below.
The collection consists of folk percussion instruments from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Uganda, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil and the United States.
So far visitors from Brazil, Korea, Japan, UK and various US locations have come to the Rhythmuseum to discover the infectious fascination your humble host shares for these magnificent works of art.
Please contact below if you are in the Los Angeles area and wish to pay a visit. Admission is free and the drums are not for sale. The Rhythmuseum will operate out of my home until adequate funding is raised to establish a proper commercial space.
